John Richard Rickart, 69 years old, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on August 19, 2022.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jack and Donna Rickart, and sister, MaryAnn Supinger, and his beloved grandson, Preston Brayfield.
John leaves behind his brother, Steve Rickart, as well as his three children, Shane Rickart of Excelsior Springs, Stacie Brayfield (Jason Brayfield) of Kansas City, and his youngest son, John Rickart Jr. “Bear” (Lindsay Rickart) of Excelsior Springs. John was the proud Papa John to his 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
John was an over-the-road truck driver and he received an award for safely driving 1 million miles. Once John retired he enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chiefs. John loved to follow his grandkids in all of their sports. John was a proud grandfather.
John loved his family and all of his friends and lived by the motto “Don’t be afraid to stand for what is right, even if it means standing alone.”
John will be missed dearly. We love you Dad.

Dad seeing this seems so odd. Everything happened so fast. I miss you terribly and I’ll miss your talks and help but I pray that you are now with Preston looking after him. I also pray you are free of all your pain and suffering. You will never be forgotten. We love you Dad.
