William Joseph Anderson passed away September 8, 2022 in Liberty, Mo., at Norterre Assisted Living. He was born June 19, 1932 to Rolla Eugene Anderson and Julia Anderson. He married Phyllis A. LeVieux August 24, 1954 in Eureka, Kans.
Bill leaves behind two daughters, Cynthia Schwarz (Bruce Abraham) of Omaha, Neb., and Vicki Dolt (Chris) of Lawson; two sons, Steve Anderson of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and David Anderson (Carrie) of Urbana, Mo. ; one brother, Rolla Eugene Anderson (Gayle) Blue Springs; along with 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; a sister, Dorothy; and brother, Jim.
Bill grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and graduated from De La Salle Academy. He joined the U. S. Marines, returned home to get his business degree from Emporia State in Kansas. After graduation, Bill worked and retired from the government, then continued his work with Doshi and Associates for many more years.
Bill and Phyllis resided in various places until settling in Lawson, Mo., for over 50 years.
He is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Excelsior Springs where he was involved in many activities.
A private graveside service will be held at the Lawson Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to Ascend Hospice of Lee’s Summit.
