Roy Lee Kinney

Roy Lee KinneyRoy Lee Kinney, 71, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on September 19, 2022 at Liberty Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Roy was born on October 27, 1950 to Jerry and Iva (Deardeuff) Kinney. A graduate of Lawson High School in 1969, Roy went on to be a truck driver for Teamsters for 25 years.

Roy was a true “Jack of All Trades” and enjoyed renovating houses and working on cars. Roy also loved riding motorcycles with his sons and playing poker with the guys.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Dale.

Survivors include his beloved best friend of 47 years, Robyn Kinney; his sons, Quincy and Jason (Kelly) Kinney; his grandchildren, Cole Sales, Mercedes (Jerry) Jackson, Lauryn Sales, Toby and Maddison Kinney; his great grandson, Bennett Jackson; his sisters, Thelma Van Oster and Sharon Allnutt; and his brother, Kevin (Lisa) Kinney.
