During this time Jack coached youth girls softball and the Millers Men’s softball team. Jack also enjoyed his time serving on the Lawson Park Board and on the City Council.

After 36 years he retired from Allis-Chalmers, Ag Co Corporation in 2000 and they moved to Lake Viking. While living there he worked part-time for the Cameron Hospital as a courier. In 2014, he and Teresa moved to Lathrop, Mo., and this past year back home to Lawson.
