Jimmy Payton Logston, 88, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away November 11, 2022.
He was born on August 10, 1934 in Kingston, MO, to Samuel Payton Logston and Anna McElwee Logston. On August 29, 1952 he married Doris Lee Adams. Jimmy started working for Ben Franklin Dime Store in 1957 and retired in 1990. He was a Mason for over 58 years. He was a member of the Clay Lodge #207 A.F. & A.M. of Excelsior Springs and was a Past Master of the lodge in 1969.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; grandson, Curt Payton Logston; his parents; and his three
sisters, Mary Hobbs, Anna Logston and Ruby Logston.
He is survived by his four children, Jimmy Jr. (Patty), Timmy (Cathy), Susan (Tony) and Ralph David; seven grandchildren, Chris, Angela (Ken), John, Michelle, Megan (Jayson), Chad and Amanda; nine great grandchildren, Cole, Taryn, Canyon, Josiah, Maylee, Averey, Emalyn, Reyd, Eleanor and soon to be #10, Anthony.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.

Oh, we the The Berry family Knew and Loved JIM AN DORIS an that little Susan when I Kay came into the Berry Family. We had a lot of good times N What great friends we had in these two 0great friends. BOTH WERE GIVERS AN ALWAYS HELPING WHEN NEEDED. DORIS AND I TAUGHT A CUB SCOUT GROUP TOGETHER FOR A FEW YEARS. LOTS OF GREAT MEMORIES. I DID NOT KNOW Your Dad Passed Susun or we would have been there to help send him to Heaven an I am sure these two are Two of The Lord’s best helpers. God love you all an may God Bless you all as he did Jim and Doris. Sadly Missed by all who knew them. ALL OUR LOVE. SAD WE DID NOT KNOW.
