Bobby Webb

Bobby WebbMay 27, 1939 – January 13, 2023

Bobby Webb was born on May 27, 1939 to Mary Bryant and William Oscar Webb.

After graduating high school, Bobby joined the Navy on December 29, 1957, he served as an aircraft mechanic, working mainly on helicopters. While serving in Norfolk Virginia he was a co-pilot on the Admiral’s airplane, flying up and down the coast. He spent four months in Alaska on the Ice Breaker. He flew both planes and helicopters while serving. He served until December 29, 1961.

On April 11, 1964 he married Iris Zirjacks. They were married 38 years until her death in 2002.

He spent 36 years working at United Auto Service as a mechanic before retiring in 2001.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris; his parents; a brother, Griffin Webb; a sister, Darlene Waterhouse; a half brother, Charlie Barber; and a special friend, Lucy Dirck.

He is survived by a son, Bobby Millsap; a daughter, Sherry and her husband, Bill; a granddaughter, Alisha Mansell and her husband, Kyle; two great granddaughters, Bella and Scarlett; along with many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by family and friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs with a service to follow. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
