Winston R. Robinette, 87, slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God on January 17, 2023. Winston was born October 23, 1935, in Odessa, Missouri, to the late Russell and Katherine (Mitchell) Robinette.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Owen and Allen Dean, and his daughter, Deeann Hennier.
Winston served in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, also known as the Screaming Eagles. In civilian life, he owned two Amoco gas stations in Kansas City.
Winston was an avid fisherman and his favorite place was on his boat at one of his fishing spots on Smithville Lake. He never had to tell stories about the one that got away, because the walls of his man cave were adorned with his many mounted fish, not to mention the many fishing tournament trophies.
Left to cherish Winston’s memory are his loving wife, Connie (Coe) Robinette; son, Marty Peck; stepdaughters, Michelle (Steve) Bozarth and Lori Coe; stepson, Larry Christopher (Rachel) Coe; and grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Marty, Megan, Mercedes, Rachel, Samantha, Justin, Nick, Taylor Hannah, and Hayden; and many great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service to be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
Our Sincere Condolences

Sending our sympathy to you and your family in your time of loss.
