Belinda Kay Halberstadt

Belinda Kay HalberstadtBelinda Kay Halberstadt, age 60, of Excelsior Springs, passed away on March 20, 2023 at her home.

Belinda was born May 7, 1962 in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born to Georgia Nadine Moore and Gerald Adams. Belinda was united in marriage to Alan Love in 1980. They had two daughters, Marcie and Andrea. She was then united in marriage to William “Bill” Halberstadt in 1988. Together they adopted five additional children, Cassandra, Alexandra, Bryan, Ryan “Bubba”, and Sierra.

Belinda was the life of the party. She loved socializing and drinking beer. One of her most favorite things was listening to live music. Especially her older Brother David’s bands. She also loved going to concerts with her girlfriends. During the summer you could find her out back by the pool with a cold beer in hand. But her most favorite things in the world were her grandkids. She loved being a grandma.

She was proceeded in death by her mother; brother, William Whitworth; husband, William Halberstadt; her step-dad, Jr Brown; and her friends Rick and Buddy.

She is survived by her father, Gerald Adams; brothers, David (Kelly) Adams and Roy (Tracy) Adams; sister, Glynnis (Mark) Nava; children, Marcie and Steven Roberts, Andrea O’Dell and JD Biermann, Cassandra and Jerad Broadaway, Alex Halberstadt and Jeremy Clark, Bryan Halberstadt, Ryan “Bubba” Halberstadt, Sierra Smith and Jadon Hyatt and Russell O’Dell;  grandchildren, Rylie Stottlemyre, Reese and Ragan Roberts, Baylee and Owen O’Dell, Kayden Halberstadt, Silas Goll, Treyton, Brecken and Lennox Broadaway, Nick, Lilly, Hazel and Asher Clark, Austin Hyatt, Arya Halberstadt and River Estes, Jadyn and Landon Biermann and Ann Wood. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Cheri, Marlene, Bobbie, Steph, Martha, Tina, Peggy, Brenda and her friends at D&D Masonry.

Services are being held March 29, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. After the visitation the Eagles will be providing a dinner for friends and family. Please come honor Belinda in your best Chiefs gear.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all. One of my favorite things about “BIG” was her passion for children and how much she advocated for them, including my own. She will be greatly missed.

Although I didn’t hang much with you, when I did, I could tell you were always upbeat and people just gravitated to you. Roy was always so lucky to have such a dear sister. God bless you, BIG.
