James Lamar White, 82, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away June 11, 2023 at home peacefully, surrounded by family.
Mr. White was born on January 14, 1941 in Chattanooga, TN. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service with numerous medals and awards. He also retired from the Excelsior Springs School District. He loved gardening, his church, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha White; sisters, Evelyn White and Ann White; brother, Frank White; and daughter, Cynthia Busche.
His survivors include his sister, Wilma White; his kids and spouses, Angela White and Donnie, Timothy White, Anthony and Susan White, Eric and Lisa White, and Jeffrey and Theresa White; along with 24 grandkids and 43 great grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2023 at Lawson Assembly of God in Lawson, MO. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., June 15, 2023, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO.
