Rodger C. Friedly of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away June 18, 2023 at Liberty Hospital. Rodger was born December 15, 1953 in Newton, New Jersey.
Rodger served in the U.S. Army from 1971 until 1975 where, amongst other things, he served time in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged and then joined the Missouri National Guard for 5 years. He then served with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 15 years. He loved serving his country and often said joining the Army was the best thing that happened to him.
Rodger is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma, his father, Eugene, and sisters, Mryna and Audra.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Brenda, his daughter, Cassandra, his brothers, Gary (Linda) and David, and his sister, Tonya.
Graveside Services will be determined at a later date.
