Stella Coker Malone, 86, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away September 29, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Stella was born January 14, 1937 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the third of five children, to John Henry Coker and Hazel Morgan Coker.
She married her late husband, Lawrence D. Malone on June 16, 1953, and is survived by her daughters, Dena (Fred) Byers of Lawson and Barbara (Stan) Dobbins of Blue Springs; her sons, Larry (Debbie) Malone of Excelsior Springs, Chuck (Lei) Malone of Belton, and Michael (Amy) Malone of Liberty.
She had so much love for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. She was an amazing wife and mother and devoted her life to her family. Stella enjoyed reading, gardening and country music. She enjoyed decorating her home for Christmas and traveling.
Services will be held on October 5, 2023 at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, at 11:00 a.m. for visitation and funeral at 12:00 noon. She will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.
