William “Bill” Clifford Ashcraft, 72, of Lawson, MO, passed away October 7, 2023 at North Kansas City Hospital. Mr. Ashcraft was born April 27, 1951 in Lawson, MO. Bill was a lifelong resident of Lawson and a 1969 graduate of Lawson High School. He was known in the community as Billy from working at Western Auto and the Lawson Supermarket. He was a long time member of the Lawson United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir and ran the nursery for many years with his family. He enjoyed watching and following all of his grandkids in their numerous activities and sporting events throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roslyn (Cole) Ashcraft; parents, Ida (Holman) and William Wallace Ashcraft; brother, Robert “Bob” Ashcraft; and son, William Randall Ashcraft.
Survivors include Tracy (Doug) Dodd, Heather Gould, William (Kasey) Ashcraft, Hillary (Brett) Campbell, Robert Ashcraft (Salina Bush); grandchildren, Megan (Jacob) Dickens, Bradley (Jamie) Williams, John Godley, Isabel Dodd, Emmeline Dodd, Caelyn Campbell, Chasyn Campbell, Hailey Godley, Elizabeth Ashcraft, Liam Ashcraft and Abigail Ashcraft; and great grandchildren, Ava Dickens, Cora Dickens and Laurel Williams.
A memorial service will be held on November 10, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lawson United Methodist Church in Lawson, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Green Hills Women’s Health Services in remembrance of his late wife who battled breast cancer.
