Mark Eldon “Dobo” Davis, 65, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 16, 2023.
Mark was born July 11, 1958, in Independence, Missouri, to Max and Waneta Davis. Mark graduated from Kearney High School in 1977. He worked for the Clay County Parks Department, construction, part time at Big-V Country Mart Store, and for the Kearney School District. Mark worked for the district for 26 years, retiring in 2014.
Mark enjoyed watching Kearney sports, his favorites being football and wrestling. He continued to volunteer in both sports throughout the years.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Max, and Waneta Davis.
He is survived by his brothers, Jeff Davis (June), of Kearney, and Lynn Davis (Pam), of Liberty; nieces and nephews, Kari Ernst (Thaine) of Fallon, Nevada, Jake Davis (Jennifer), (Amy), Tyler, Chase, and Graham Davis, all of Kearney; great nieces and nephews, Dylan Ernst (Dani), Matt Ernst, Genna Ernst, Kacie Davis, and Max Davis; and great-great nephews, Kyson and Keegan.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kearney Senior Center, 600 North Jefferson Street, Kearney, MO 64060, on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Please feel free to wear Bulldogs or Chiefs attire.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kearney Athletics, 715 E. 19th Street, Kearney, MO 64060 in memory of Mark Davis.
