On Sunday, December 3, 2023, a beloved father, Norman Osterberg, passed away with his family by his side. Born to Ewald and Esther Osterberg on November 29, 1942, in Salem, South Dakota, Norm was raised on the farm among lots of family. In the summer of 1960 he graduated high school, also joining the United States Navy, serving until November 1963. He graduated from Dakota State University in 1969 and married Carol Ann Neuberger in August. They landed in Excelsior Springs in September of 1975 and remained in the community. Norm was a member of Barbee Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Stacey (Mark) Morgan and Jason (Katie) Osterberg; and grandchildren, Kailey Morgan, Lexi Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Josie Osterberg, and Jonas Osterberg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; daughter, Allison; and parents Ewald and Esther.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 2 to 3 p.m., with a celebration of life service immediately following at 3 p.m., at Barbee Church, 501 Tiger Drive, Excelsior Springs.
