Teresa Tribble

Teresa Ann Tribble, 84, of Lathrop MO, passed away on September 28, 2024 at Lawson Manor Nursing Home.

Teresa Tribble was born August 26, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Teresa was the eldest child of William P. Hunter and Edna M. Hunter (Stanley). On September 29, 1961, Teresa married the love of her life, Paul “Val” Tribble. Born of the union were Valerie A. Tribble and Paul V. Tribble Jr. Teresa worked many odd jobs such as a telephone operator, a custodian at Kearney School District, and a waitress. She also ran her and Val’s catering business “Val-Ter’s- Out Back Smoked BBQ.” She had a servant’s heart, never missing an opportunity to support the church and helping those around the community. All while being fashionable in her favorite color purple, big bows, and big hats. She spent most of her retired years with the National United Methodist Campers and taking her Rhodesian Ridgebacks around
to different community events. She had many other hobbies such as quilting, crocheting, horseback riding, singing, baking, cake decorating, and keeping the family all connected. Being the eldest of 16, she enjoyed spending time with her family the most, for which she hosted many family dinners, picnics, and birthday parties.

Survivors include her son, Paul Valjean Tribble Jr.; her granddaughter, Aireal (Shelton) Humphrey; her great-grandchildren, Kloey and Kaiden Humphrey; her granddaughter, Alesia Young; great-grandson, Beau McAdams; her son-in-law, Brian Lammert; her siblings; Mike (Sharon) Hunter, Nancy Mc Bride, Barbara Johnson, Sandra (Dennis) Romines, Margaret “Libby” Hunter, Thomas Hunter, Deborah Proffitt, and sister-in-law, Diane Lacy; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and special people that called her “Mom” who all held a very special place in her heart, bringing her tremendous joy and pride.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Hunter, her mother, Edna M. Stanley; step-mother, Mary Hunter; step-father, Harmon Stanley; her beloved husband and best friend, Paul “Val” Tribble; her daughter, Valerie Ann Tribble; her siblings, James Combs, Mary Catalano, Butch Boddie, Ethel Loftin, John “Johnny” Hunter, Theodore “Ted” Hunter, Patrick “Bill” Hunter, Brenda Hunter, Venice “Peaches” Searles, Edna Mae Stanley, and brother-in-law, Kerry Tribble.

Visitation will be held at the Holt United Methodist Church, 130 Church Street, Holt, MO 64048 on October 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m.

In her honor, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Holt United Methodist Church where she and Val were long-standing members of the congregation.
