Lorretta “Retta” Michele Thompson, 49, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 28, 2024, at Liberty Hospital.
Retta was born November 20, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri, to B. Lucille (Crumley) Ealey. She attended Excelsior Springs High School up until welcoming her first child.
She loved nature walks, road trips, singing, tending to her plants, cooking for family, Chiefs, and elephants, trunks up, of course! She especially loved her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Brandon Thompson; sons, Eric Henry Jr. (Allena Warren) and Jacob Henry; daughter, Andrea Ford (Robert Ford); stepdaughter, Monica Molina (Daniel Molina); sister, Vicki Taylor; and 10 grandbabies, Eric III, McKinley, Addison, Kyler, Bryson, Stella, Asher, Yzzie, Andy, and Julian.
Retta is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille; sister, Amy; and brother, Chad.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 14305 State Hwy. Y, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
