Robert Charles Carlton, 79, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Northcare Hospice House.
Bob achieved an accounting degree from Highland Community College and dedicated the last 40 years of his life to helping community action programs more effectively support people in need. He retired as Chief Financial Officer of Panhandle Community Action in Amarillo, Texas.
His hobbies included travel – Bob visited all 50 states, wood working, home improvement, and fishing.
He was preceded in death his parents, Charles Russell Carlton and Mildred Lucile Patton Carlton; uncles, Delmon and Delbert Carlton; and aunts, Verna, June, and Eileen Patton.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Dianne Carlton; sons, Robert Simeon and wife, Heather Carlton, William David and wife, Alexandra Carlton; daughter, Kristina Marie and husband, Adam Capps; grandchildren, Aaron William Carlton, Braeden McNeil Carlton, Kailey Nicole Capps, Brandt Ethan Carlton, Jase Alexander Capps, Kyra Lynn Carlton, Landon Michael Capps, and Everett Reid Capps.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
