Ada Belle Snider, lovingly known as Nan, 87 years old, from Kansas City, MO, passed away the 2nd of April 2025 at NorthCare Hospice House. She was surrounded by her three sons, Chuck, Jim, and Jerry, when she peacefully went to heaven in her sleep.
Ada Belle was born on the 10th of March 1938 in Roscoe, MO. Nan graduated from Appleton City High School in 1956 and the following year of 1957 she married the love of her life, Boyd Snider. They were happily married for 68 years. She was from a family of six and when she was 8 years old, she began her journey of cooking for her family. Over the years she continued cooking for her husband, three children, two daughters-in-law, two granddaughters, and her great grandson. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, gardening, reading, making pies and cookies, and going to the casino with family and her best friend.
Nan was the beloved center of our family. She was our heart and our soul, our strength and our comfort, our protector and our shoulder to lean on. She was always happiest surrounded by family, especially her granddaughters and great grandson. She loved all of us as much as she loved life itself, and we all love her beyond words. And even though she is in heaven, she will always live on within each of us in our hearts and in our memories.
Ada Belle was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Stella Motley; her sister, Dorothy Dains; and her two brothers, James and Charles Motley.
Nan is survived in death by her loving husband, Boyd Snider; her three sons, Chuck, Jim, and Jerry; her two daughters-in-law, Nancy and Lek; her two granddaughters, Cali and Elle; and her great grandson, David.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the 10th of May 2025 at the residence of Jerry and Nancy Snider in Kansas City, MO.
