Daniel Lee Eckersley of Excelsior Springs, Mo., born March 13, 1946, passed away on June 11, 2025.
Daniel leaves behind his wife, Rita; sons, Jeff (Virginia) and Jason (Erica); grandchildren, Dylan, Katie, Darren (Rachel), Derek, Dalton, Tyler (Sydney) Addyson, and Ryder; great granddaughters, Layla and Charlotte; half brothers, Chris and Tommy; step son, Kenneth (Dawn) and Danny; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Eck and step mother, Ida; his first wife and mother of his children, Margo; half brother, Bennie; and step brothers, David and Mike.
Daniel was a U.S. Marine. He was foreman at ADM Mill (NKC), Deutz Allis (Allis Chalmers) and Ryerson Steel.
Daniel loved gardening and cooking.
There will be a 21 gun salute at Crown Hill Cemetery, June 18, 2025 at 11ish a.m. if anyone would like to witness this.
