Ronald Floyd Marriott, 73, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away July 20, 2025 after his battle with cancer.
He was born to Floyd Marriott and Mary Katheryn (Elliott) Marriott on August 17, 1951. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School, Class of 1969.
Ron worked in the construction business in Excelsior Springs until the early 1980’s. He moved to Texas to continue construction work and in later years moved to the Dallas area and was a carpenter. After 20 years, he returned to Excelsior Springs to care for his parents.
Ron enjoyed playing pool and the outdoors. His favorite pastimes included fishing, mushroom hunting and riding his 4-wheeler. His beloved cat, Puddin, had a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marie (Bell) Marriott.
Ron will be missed dearly by his daughter, Veronica Marriott and her husband, Bill, Sydney, Australia; sister, Katheryn Goode (Billy Joe), Excelsior Springs, Missouri; brother, Richard Marriott (Terry Propst) Kirkland, Washington; family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at Siloam Mountain Park and a private burial at Union Cemetery, Orrick, MO, will be held.
