Peggy Waring of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Liberty, MO, passed away early Sunday morning, July 27, 2025. Peggy was born on September 12, 1937 to Marguerite and Lewis Mills in Wapato, Washington. Peggy graduated from Center High School, Kansas City, MO, in 1955 and went on to nursing school at Research Hospital graduating in 1958.
Peggy married Richard Waring on June 10, 1962. Peggy was an OR/ER nurse for 20+ years taking some time off to raise her three daughters. Richard and Peggy moved into their home on US 69 and Stockdale Road in 1970 where they resided for 50 years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2020.
Peggy is survived by her three daughters, Vicki, Leslie and Jo Ellen, along with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at the Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs on August 4, 2025 with burial at the family plot in Kearney, MO.
