In Memory of Dennis L Ramsey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis L. Ramsey. Dennis left this world peacefully in his home surrounded by immediate family on July 31, 2025, at the age of 67.

Dennis was born on August 11, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was retired from Firestone after 32 years of services. He was also an Eagle Scout. He was married for 46 years to the love of his life. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a true love for hunting. He will be truly missed.

Dennis was proceeded in death by his son, Jason L. Ramsey; father, Don L Ramsey; stepmom, Sharon L. Ramsey; mom, Carole A. Shields; stepdad, Darrell L. Shields; and brother, Terry L Shields.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sherri L. Ramsey; daughter, Mary F. Ramsey; daughter, Emily (Matt) A. Stubbs; brother, Joe (Kristin) Ramsey; brother, Patrick (Jill) Ramsey; sister, Patti (Rod) Guzman; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A visitation is to be held at 1:00 p.m. on August 14, 2025 at Fry-Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson St., Kearney, MO 64060. There will be a service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Foundation, P.O Box 50, 415 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD, 21203-7025.

Sherri and Girls, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Dennis was always such a wonderful man, great husband & best Dad ever!! I enjoyed knowing him he was always good to me and Dad! I pray God will comfort each of you through this heartache.

Fond memories will remain in our hearts as we mourn Dennis. So funny, the hot sauce man, Irish celebrations. Random things being placed around our home, I won’t mention what, his hats, time at the lake, and the wonderful family man he was.
