John David Peebles, “BIG JOHN”, 55, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., was called home to be with our Lord early morning of August 11, 2025. John was born to Charles and Evelyn Peebles on March 2, 1970.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Diane (Ernie) Headlee; and brothers, Frank and Kevin Peebles.
He is survived by his daughter, Brooklynn, and son, John Peebles; his sisters, Kathie (Donnie) Duncan, Sherry (Pat) Patterson, and Sandy (David) Simmons; also his brothers, Scott and Chuck Peebles. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his care taker, sister-in-law Stacy Peak; relatives, friends whom he considered family, and the love of his life Shelly Peak.
John was a hard worker, loving father, true friend and an amazing cook!! “John, you will always be loved, and will forever be dearly missed. Fly high, and rest easy in the arms of Jesus Big Guy … until we meet again.”

Oh Big John I hate that it’s been so many years since I’ve seen you. I ALWAYS considered you one of my real TRUE friends!!! You had a huge heart to go with that huge head lol. You were there for me so many times, especially when I just needed a friend. Until we meet again my friend! I’ll be praying for your children & all who loved you which I know were so many!
