Jimmie Dean Mosley

Jimmie Mosley
Born 10/23/1968, took his final breath 8/21/2025. He was 56 years old.

Born in Missouri, Jimmie was one of the best fisherman in the family. He holds the record for best trout caught on a girls Barbie pole at Bennett Springs Fish Hatchery. Jimmie practiced those skills during his many years in Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and was named Keeper of The Sacred Bundle in the Mic-o-Say tribe at Bartle Reservation. He spent many happy times traveling with grandparents to places like The Grand Canyon and the Rose Bowl.

While in school, Jimmie played Offensive Guard and Defensive Tackle at Fort Osage High School, where he graduated in 1987. Jimmie was also a graduate of AAI with a degree in diesel mechanics. His passion for machinery began with building race cars and mud trucks, and continued into his adult life when he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1991. Jimmie served his country during Operation Desert Storm, and in Vietnam, patrolling the DMZ. In 1995, Jimmie and his squad won the Phantom Corps Cavalry Cup. He ultimately achieved the rank of Corporal Mosley, Cavalry Scout Airborne Ranger, and exited service in 1996, having won many Army Commendations for valor and heroism. Battle remained a priority to Jimmie in his life as he was often seen participating in Civil War Reenactments with The Union Engineers and Confederate Elliott’s Scouts.

Jimmie waged war against emergencies of all kinds when he worked as an Industrial First Responder for companies like Haz-Mat Response, and Hucher Services Inc. where Jimmie held a position as ADM and Trainwrecker. He wrapped his career as a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers 101. He met Kriston on a war game in 2016, and married 11/05/2017. Jimmie was her whole world.

He is survived by his wife, Kriston Mosley; parents, Harold Dean and Sandra Mosley; mother-in-law, Alice, and father-in-law, Jonny; his children, Jordynn, Zach, and Rory; sister, Becci; brother-in-law, David; niece, Maia; as well as several grandchildren, and a few beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
