Larry Dean Bisbee

Larry Dean Bisbee

Larry Dean Bisbee passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born on November 25, 1934 in Excelsior Springs, MO.

He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Rounkles, on December 3, 1953. They raised four children, Patric Kimball, Larry Christopher, Caroline Rachel (Kiko), and Carey Stanton, two grandchildren, Chad Patric and Trisha Caroline, and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Charles, and Emily Grace.

After his marriage to “Patsy” he went to work for his father-in-law, Casey Rounkles at Imco Container Co., a plastics injection molding company. His business instincts and technical skills impressed the “suits” and he was chosen to manage one of their struggling factories in Grafton, MA. Larry turned things around at the Grafton plant in relatively short order. He then made the decision to come back to Excelsior Springs and join his brother-in-law, Ramon Rounkles, at his newly formed company Clay Ray Plastics, now operating as Excelsior Plastics Industries sixty plus years later.

Larry and Pat retired to Ft. Myers Beach, FL, in 1992. They loved it there in the Florida sunshine, enjoying long walks on the beach and socializing with the many friends they made in their community. Their favorite times in Florida were when family and close friends would come to visit them and they could share the joy they had found there.

Larry’s life was focused on family, God, and the business. He was a generous and active member of Woods Memorial Christian Church. His creativity, honesty, and integrity are the traits that fueled his professional career. His love, generosity, kind heart, and quick wit were recognized by all who were fortunate enough to get to know him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, G. W. and Juanita Bisbee; brothers, Ronald and Bob; sisters, June and Delma; wife, Patricia; and son, Patric Kimball.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Amy; daughter, Kiko; son, Carey; two grandchildren, Chad, his wife Rebekah, and Trisha; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Grace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on October 4, 2025 at EPI, 201 S. McCleary Rd., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. Please join us in celebrating the life of our father.
