Dianna Jane Brogaard

Dianna Jane Brogaard of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away September 29, 2025 at 11:57 p.m. at Aspire Senior Living in Excelsior Springs, Mo., after suffering from a long-term illness.

Dianna was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on October 28, 1950, to William and Jane Cox. Dianna worked as a home health aide for many years. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and many other outdoor activities.

She was proceeded in death by her sister, Penny Garringer; a son-in-law, Glen Odaffer; and both of her parents.

Survivors include daughters, Vicki Odaffer of Excelsior Springs, Mo., (mother of Matt and Chris Pategas, Madison Rich and Amanda Odaffer) and Heather Petsche of Riverton, Wyo., (mother of Anothony, Courtney, Bailey, Riley, Emery, Chayden, Maddox, and Oryn); a son, Donald VonLienen Jr. (Kelly Vonlienen) of Sigourney, Iowa, (father of April DeSpain and Cole Anderson); sisters, Gayle Pirtle (James Pirtle) of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Mary Knottnerus of Iowa City, Iowa; brothers, Donald Cox (Robin Cox) of West Branch, Iowa, and William Cox Jr. of Iowa City, Iowa. Dianna also leaves behind her great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family has chosen to have private services.
