James “Jim” William Krenkel

James Krenkle

James “Jim” William Krenkel passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Northcare Hospice House.

James was born the eldest son of Bill and Marjorie Krenkel in Topeka, Kansas, in July of 1950. Jim was a proud Eagle Scout. A lifelong and talented tinker, Jim worked as a journeyman machinist for nearly 50 years. An avid Outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his brother David, though they commonly caught more beers than fish. An enjoyer of westerns, but not always people, Jim was known for his quick wit and dry sarcasm. The advice you got was not always what you wanted but was always what you needed. Though he started later in life, Jim always said that his most loved job was that of a father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Marjorie; his brother, Daniel; and his wife of 30 years, Mary.

He is survived by his brother, David Krenkel; his daughter, Megan Krenkel; his son, Andrew (Erica) Krenkel; and his granddaughter, Willow Aldrich.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in care of Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
