Kelly Durbin

Kelly Durbin

Kelly Durbin, age 58, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025.

Kelly was born on September 5, 1967, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, to Janice and Kenneth Durbin. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1985.

She is survived by her father, Kenneth; her sister, Kim Livingston; her three children, Corey, Lindsey, and Brittany; her ten beloved grandchildren; and by perhaps the most loved dog in the world, Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Durbin; her brother, Keith Ousley; and her grandson, Gaige Robeson.

By the world’s standards, Kelly may not have had many traditional accomplishments. She never found a husband who loved and protected her in the way she deserved. She was unable to pursue a professional career due to lifelong medical challenges and did not accumulate material wealth to pass on to her children.

But what Kelly did have was far more enduring. She possessed a deep and sincere love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and an unwavering love for the people around her. Though not perfect, Kelly was known for her sacrificial love and service to others, her generosity in sharing her gift of cake-making, and her warm community leadership at the Colony Plaza Apartments.

Throughout her battle with cancer, Kelly’s greatest desire and constant prayer was that the Lord would use her life to impact even one person for His glory. By the testimony of many, that prayer was beautifully answered.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7
