Brenda Buderus, 66, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Brenda was born in Schuyler, Nebraska on August 15, 1959, and later moved to Colorado in 1972. Brenda graduated from Greeley West high school in Greeley, CO. Brenda was born and raised with a deep sense of compassion, easily becoming the person everyone could count on — the one who listened without judgment, loved without hesitation, and made every person around her feel valued. She was the life of the party and would help anyone she came into contact with. Her life was
defined by generosity, quiet strength, and a heart that never stopped giving.
Brenda devoted her life to her family, who were her greatest joy. She was a proud and supportive mother whose unconditional love showed up in countless ways — in the advice she offered, the sacrifices she made, and the way she celebrated every accomplishment, big or small. Nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with the people she loved.
Brenda was so proud of her 15 years of service at Target in Liberty. Brenda was also known for her kindness and her ability to connect with others, Brenda built strong, lasting relationships throughout her life. Often cooking random meals for everyone she loved. Friends often described her as loyal, dependable, and full of heart — someone
who made a lasting impact. Brenda’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and the countless lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
She was survived by her dad, Joe Krepel (Dodge City, NE); son, Jeremy Hayden (Greeley, CO); four brothers, Darryl Krepel (Excelsior Springs, MO), Wayne Krepel (Colorado Springs, CO), Scott Pekarek (Excelsior Springs, MO) and Terry Pekarek (Kansas City, MO); boyfriend, Domingo Garcia (Excelsior Springs, MO); as well as many other family and friends who will continue to honor her memory every day.
Preceded in death by, mom, Twila Pekarek (Excelsior Springs MO); her step dad, Dennis Pekarek (Excelsior Springs MO); and her brother, Alan Krepel (Liberty MO).
Please join the family for a visitation to be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway Ave., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. Followed by a celebration of Brenda’s life at the Elks Club, 421 S. Titus Ave., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
