Sharon Kay Beall Lewis

Sharon Kay Beall Lewis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025 at the age of 82.
Born on July 13,1943 in Independence, Missouri, to a tight knit family, she was the youngest of nine children. Sharon was the daughter of Charles Beall and Marion Robertson Beall. She grew up in Independence and attended Van Horn High School. She lived her entire life in Missouri to include Ray County, Holt and Lee’s Summit.
Throughout her life, Sharon was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance to her family and friends. She married Carl Lewis on July 27, 1958. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories and raised two children, Debra and Steven.
Sharon had a passion for crocheting and knitting, but also loved reading, gardening and sewing. While primarily a loving mother and housewife, throughout her life, she worked for Waid’s restaurant, Mary-Kay Cosmetics, Richmond Bowl, Walmart and sold real estate. Above all else, Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends. Additionally, Sharon was an avid cat lover and had numerous cats throughout her life.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marion; her siblings, Richard, Rex, Jack, Marion (Detta), Norma, Maxine and Leonard; her husband, Carl; her daughter, Debra; and her loving partner of 32 years, Richard Simmerman.
Sharon is survived by her older brother, Bob Beall; beloved son, Steven (Tracy) Lewis; six grandchildren, Russell (Michelle) Bright, Joshua Bright, Chelsea (Blake) Lewis, Kaye (Toby) Lewis, Katie Lewis, and Jayce Lewis. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on January 9, 2026 at Fry-Bross & Spindle Funeral Home in Kearney Missouri from 10 to 11 A.M. with a burial service to follow from 11 to 12 P.M. at the Fairview Cemetery.
