Rose Mary Leabo was born August 1, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. She lived her life in Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri. She earned her GED and then her LPN license while in Missouri. She worked as a nurse until she retired from The Convalescent Center at Excelsior Springs Hospital. She served her patients with loving compassion and a smile. She then moved to Hulbert, OK after retiring. During her most recent time in Oklahoma, she was a caregiver to her mother prior to her mother’s passing. She loved all animals and often took in strays of all kinds (chickens, pigs, goats, dogs and cats). She cared for them as her own.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Fairbanks; daughter-in-law, Loretta Thompson; former husband, Larry T. Clevenger; biological mother, Joann Schuhmann Stimple; sister, Helen Palshan; and father, Ken Bellmore.

She is survived by her loving husband, Merl Leabo, of the home; Kamala (Shane) McCoy, Tammy (Corey) Jones, M. Brandon Thompson, Merl Lee (Sabrina) Leabo, Kenneth (Mary) Bellmore, Scot (Marci) Lisman, Kevin (Erin) Lisman, Larry Clevenger and Charlie Clevenger; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
