John Pasieniuk

May 28, 1958 – January 13, 2026
John Anthony Pasieniuk, 67, was born in Chicago, Illinois, to George and Janina (Stachowicz) Pasieniuk. The family moved to Omaha in 1960 and they lived in the Prairie Lane neighborhood, John was in the first kindergarten class at Prairie Elementary School. He then attended Valley View and then Westside High School and graduated in 1976. John participated in gymnastics while at Westside. John went to the University of Nebraska Omaha and received his bachelors degree. He then went to Baylor to pursue a masters degree. John returned to Omaha and eventually taking a job at Streck until he retired in September 2022 after 34 years.
He has many fond memories of his co-workers, including Pat and Cory who were great fishing buddies. He had many stories of their fishing trips and cherished those memories. John was an avid traveler, backpacker, hiker, woodworker but, most passionate about fishing, John would start fishing at first light until the sun set.
John was preceded in death by his dad and mom.
He is survived by brother, Ted (Jean) Pasieniuk; sisters, Christine (Ken) Davis, Catherine (Mark) Juliano, and Nancy (Doug) Howe; nephews, Chad (Jamie) Pasieniuk, Joseph (Meghan) Pasieniuk, Vinnie (Jannice) Juliano, Zach (Ashley) Juliano, Domanick (Morgan) Juliano, and Max (Alex) Howe; and nieces, Laura (Kyle) McKee, Felicia (Jeremy) Bowles, and Alexis (Jesse) Ackerman.
Cremation. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on January 24, 2026 at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3535 S. 119 St., Omaha, Nebraska 68144, and funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
