Grant Curnow

In Loving Memory
Grant Samuel Curnow
August 21, 1968 – February 26, 2026

Grant Samuel Curnow, 57, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born in 1968, he was a lifelong resident of Liberty who carried the spirit of his hometown with him throughout his journey.

A proud graduate of the Liberty High School Class of 1987, Grant was a student-athlete who embodied the Blue Jay spirit. He was a founding member of the Liberty High School Varsity soccer team. His talent and dedication on the soccer pitch earned him an athletic scholarship to the University of Tulsa, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Golden Hurricane men’s soccer program. His time in Tulsa was defined by the camaraderie of collegiate athletics and the friends he made. During his adult years, Grant worked in the car dealership community and had a career in sales for over 20 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Tristan Jacob Van Hook, Lillian Victoria Curnow, and Samuel Cole Curnow, who were the pride of his life. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Lee, and his brothers, Patrick, Matthew, and Nathan, along with their families.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Richard Blair Curnow, and his brother, Adam Robert Curnow.

A graveside service will be held to celebrate his life on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge, MO. Friends and family are invited to gather for a light lunch before the service at 11:30 a.m. and again after the service at the Curnow family farm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Welcome House, https://welcomehousekc.org/.
