Therese Marie (Ellinger) Aue

Therese Marie (Ellinger) Aue, 96 yrs old, was met by her heavenly family March 24, 2026.

Therese was the youngest of seven children born to Morris and Nora Faherty Ellinger December 28,1929. She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and Bishop Hogan High School. In 1946, she met and married Bob Aue. They shared three children and 58 years together until his passing in 2005.

An apartment manager for nearly 40 years, Therese retired in 2005 from Westowne Apartments in Liberty, MO. After retirement, she loved traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially her trips to Hawaii. She was an active member of St James Parrish for 50 years. She looked forward to lunches with the church’s Over 50 Club and for over 30 years, she attended water aerobics 3 days a week with the water exercise class, JAWS (Jewell’s Awesome Webfooted Seniors), at Mabee Center in Liberty. Therese became acquainted with many people over the years and cherished the close friendships that she had made along her journey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Morris and Nora; siblings, Loretta Stacy, Mary Tungett, Maurice Ellinger, Jane Corrigan, Virginia Lafferty and Robert Ellinger.

Therese is survived by her children, Marilyn MacKinder (Ernie), Steve Aue (Tonya) and Julie Beamer (Steve), six grandchildren, Theresa MacKinder, Katie Stone (Aaron), Elizabeth Oman (Steve), Jason Aue, Tony Aue and Lindsay Beamer; and four great-grandchildren, Garrett and Emily Stone and Jasper and Willow Oman. She also leaves a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial with Rosary will be held at St James Catholic Church, Liberty, MO on Monday, March 30, 2026. Visitation will be held at 10 AM followed by the Rosary and Mass at 11 AM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Linden Woods Village and Gentiva Hospice Care for their compassionate care in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, 31970 State Hwy. P, Clyde, MO 64432-8100.
