
Gary L. Wyant, 75, of Lawson, Missouri, died peacefully May 2, 2026 at his lake house, held in love and surrounded by those he treasured most. Born June 11, 1950, in Unionville, Missouri, he was a proud U.S. Marine and Vietnam-era veteran.
Gary retired from Platte-Clay Electric as a lineman and was known for his strong work ethic and high standards. He was straightforward, expected excellence, and lived by the words, “You can sleep when you’re dead.” He loved enjoying time at his lake house, his family, and clean vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wyant; children, Jamie Stewart (Ron), Kara Dunlap, Tristan Sales (Sammy), Gary M. Wyant (Shelby), Michael Grant, Paul Grant (Jennifer), Brian Grant (Colleen), and Andrea Grant; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Deborah Farrell.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2026 from 9 to 10 a.m., at Bross and Spidle Lawson Chapel with funeral services from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by graveside with military honors and burial at New Hope Cemetery.
