Ramona G. Ferril

Ramona Gail Ferril, 88, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Ramona was born November 15, 1937 in Great Falls, Montana, to Ben and Gladys (Dolan) Ellington. She graduated from Smithville High School in 1955 and married Jerry Ferril on February 14, 1959. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Ramona worked in retail for many years at several department stores including Dillards, Macy’s, and Kohls. In her pastime, she enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her quilts were crafted with love and perfection; she made quilts for every member of her family including grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ferril; two brothers, Preston Ellington and Jimmy Ellington; and one great grandchild, Raynslie O’Donnell.

Survivors include one daughter, Gail Ferril-Kovar and husband, Robert (Bob) Kovar; one son, Lynn Ferril; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ben Ellington and his wife, Connie.
