Gary Joe Rogers

Gary Rogers

Gary Joe Rogers, 79, Camden, MO, passed away July 8, 2026 at Liberty Hospital.

Gary Rogers was a proud veteran, devoted family man, and a true rock to all who knew him. A man of immense honor and integrity, Gary bravely served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He carried that same sense of dedication into his civilian life, earning a reputation as the kindest, most honest person you could ever meet. Gary’s heart knew no bounds; he was a father figure to all and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

For 39 beautiful years Gary was married to the love of his life, Shirley. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, devotion, and a shared love for music and dancing. When he wasn’t in the living room dancing with Shirley, Gary could be found on the river fishing. He was given the nickname “Catfish” for his uncanny ability to always reel in the “big ones”!  Above all else, Gary fiercely loved his family.  He was their steady anchor, their constant support, and their Hero! His legacy of unconditional love, grace and selflessness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, he always looked out for.

Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Louise Rogers;  parents, Clifford and Judy Rogers; sister, Sharon Blaceter; and grandson, Jonathan Tyler Beck.

He is survived by three children, Kevin L. Rogers, Aaron J. Rogers and Shannon L. Turner; eight grandchildren, Carlie N. Turner, Kyle J. Turner, Nicholas V. Beck, Clayton T. Beck, Kadance R. Beck, Hunter Riley, Amber Riley and Dillion Rogers; six great-grandchildren, Santana Garcia, Russel Riley, Noah Riley, Ivan Riley, Blayton Riley, and Axton Miller; brothers, John (Patricia) Rogers, Jim (Sandy) Rogers; Guy Blaceter; along with numerous brother- and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
