Bobby was born on August 4, 1950 in Orrick, MO, to parents Bobby Richardson and Betty (Lee) Richardson.

Bobby moved to Excelsior Springs with his mother and stepfather, Jack Ping, in 1962. Bobby graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1970 where he met the love of his life, Sharon K. Bisby. Bobby and Sharon were united in marriage on August 20, 1971 at the Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs, MO.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam as a Door Gunner then Cobra Crew Chief for the 187th Assault Helicopter Company from December 14, 1970 to August 11, 1972.

After returning from his service in the military, he became a member of Local UAW 249, working at Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, MO, from September 1972 until his retirement in July 2006.

Bobby enjoyed, fishing, quail hunting, gardening, riding his motorcycle and helping others. We aren’t sure if he enjoyed doing what his wife said, but his response was always the same. “Okie dokie”. Bobby and Sharon were members of Pisgah Baptist Church since 1995. Both enjoyed being involved with the Awana Program and Vacation Bible School. Family meant the most to Bobby and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids brought him the most joy.
