Earl Francis Hurshman

Earl Francis Hurshman, 94, of Excelsior Springs, passed away July 30, 2026, at Lawson Manor & Rehab.

Mr. Hurshman was born July 11, 1932 in Independence, MO. Earl was active in St. Ann Catholic Church for many decades and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Earl had a long career in metal fabrication and enjoyed building, working on, and fixing just about anything (cars, tractors, houses, barns, appliances, etc.).

Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Bernadette Hurshman; his son, Timothy Hurshman; his father, Charles Hurshman; mother, Lillian Hurshman; and his siblings, Dorothy, Rex, and John Edward Hurshman.

He is survived by his children, Deborah, Daniel, Michael, Martin, Matthew, and Mark Hurshman; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with other beloved family members and friends who will cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1503 Tracy Ave., Excelsior Springs, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery.
