Sandra Kay “Sandy” Wardrip, 67, of Richmond, MO, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at Valley Manor in Excelsior Springs, MO, after a courageous two-year battle with cervical cancer.
Sandy was born on January 25, 1959, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Joseph Bulger Wardrip Jr. and Lilly Caroline Osborn. She was the youngest of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Above all else, Sandy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and one of her favorite ways to stay connected was through FaceTime conversations filled with smiles, laughter, and love.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Missy (Greg) Gaul of Altoona, Iowa, Dean Bosworth of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Angela (David) Dyer of Stafford, Virginia.
She also leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren, Dalton Bosworth, Logan (Alyssa) Dallas, McKenzie Dallas, Gage Gaul, Rylan Gaul, Braden Gaul, Kaitlyn Dyer, Ally Dyer, and Brynleigh Dyer; and one great grandson, Maverick Dallas.
Sandy is also survived by her siblings, Carol (John) Means, Barbara (Wayne) Baker, Mary (Howie) Reid, and Joe (Cheryl) Wardrip, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved knitting, coloring, and spending time with those she loved most. Whether creating something with her hands or sharing stories with family, Sandy had a gentle way of making others feel loved and cared for.
Throughout her illness, her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sustained her and brought her peace. Her hope in Christ was evident to those around her and remains a lasting testimony to her family and friends. Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the promise that Sandy is now healed and at peace in the presence of her Savior.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Sandy Wardrip. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 with Memorial Service following at 12:00 p.m. at Zion KC, 1800 US-69, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
