Donald Lynn Brown, II, 72, of Belton, Missouri, passed away of natural causes on September 20, 2026, at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Mr. Brown was born in Jackson County, Missouri, on June 24, 1954, to Barbara J. and Donald Lynn Brown. Don graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1972, where he played football. He worked as a certified welder and pipefitter in the Kansas City area for about 25 years and was a proud member of Local Pipefitters Union 533 for 44 years, retiring in 2000.
Don truly loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was also a passionate fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, making sure to catch every game, and Kansas City BBQ. He always lit up when family came to visit, especially if they brought milkshakes, beef jerky, brownies, M&Ms, BBQ and Chief’s gear.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara J. Brown; his father, Donald Lynn Brown, I; and his paternal-grandparents, Dorothy M. Leaky and Carl Lynn Brown.
He is survived by his brother, Ronald Brown; his stepbrother, Josh (Kandice) Paracsi; his stepsisters, Joelle (Daren Phelps) Parasci and Julieanne Paracsi; Beverly Martin (father’s fiancé); as well as many loving aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Known to his family members as “Donnie,” he will be deeply missed for his quick wit and sense of humor. Donnie’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Beautiful Savior Nursing Home for their loving care, knowing they were truly considered family to him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pipe Fitters Local 533 Educational Fund or Pipe Fitters Local 533 Disability or Illness Fund.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
Our Sincere Condolences
Was working with Don at Proctor and Gamble when the punk guard at gate inquired who’s Harley is parked by the guard shack it had to be moved. The foreman told Don he’d have to move it. He said I’ll move it. OK no problem. He waved. That is why he was on his way back to his house. We all loved it.
