Mary Pauline Roush passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 86. She spent her final moments surrounded by her family, and her final breaths professing her love and pride in each and every one of them.
Born in 1940, Mary was the third child and oldest daughter of Oscar Jack and Mary Bryant. To her family, Mary was the anchor. A vibrant, loving, spunky soul, she was the person they all aspired to be and the one they turned to in their moments of need. To Mary, family was everything. She was never short on love, and she made sure her family felt that love deeply and unconditionally every single day.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; her twelve siblings; and her husband, Harold Roush.
She is survived by her partner, Mike Speich; her two children, Rebecca Whitworth and Wendell Roush and his wife, Loretta; her eight grandchildren, Ridley Corvidan, Luke and Joeanne Titus, Adrianna Clucky, Nina Roush and Mark Tate, Donovan Whitworth and Rocio Canela, Miranda and Steven Stuart, Dakota and Kinsey Whitworth, and Crystal and Dalton Teat; and her 17 great-grandchildren, who will all miss her in ways words can never express.
A memorial visitation will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026 at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside following at Windy Hill Cemetery, Wood Heights, MO.
