Terry was very caring, and nurturing. She had a heart of gold, who did not meet a stranger. She was always serving others, always happy, positive, and lit up the room with her smile. She was the most loving and forgiving person. Showed unconditional love, always. She would write uplifting thoughts and encouragement on cards with bible verses with so much meaning and love. She was an amazing friend and mother. She was available anytime for a call, she was a great listener and would always have her friends and family laughing at the end of the call. She was the \u201crock\u2019 of the family.<\/p>\n
Terry had retired from MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University). She loved antique shopping and restoration. She also handcrafted and custom made stained glass. She volunteered for Meal on Wheels. She enjoyed visiting Branson, Dollywood and Piegeon Forge.<\/p>\n
Terry is survived by her husband, Steave of the home; daughter, Sherry Sue Rodgers; step-children, Jason Bond, Elizabeth and her husband Greg Gangel, Allison Bond, Benjamin and his wife Michelle Bond, and Noah Bond; grandchildren, Kayla and her husband Nick Graham, Brooke Gangel, Kyle Gangel, Payden and her husband Kyle Brixey, Cody Harman, Sierra Bond, Sydney Bond and Zachary Bond; great-grandchildren, Lilah Graham, Lucy Graham, Leah Graham, Otto Brixey, and Opal Brixey; sister, Jackie Sue Allen; nephews, Kenny Allen and wife Lanai, and Steven Allen; niece, Teresa Rose; great nephews, Brandon Allen, Austin Allen, Kenton Allen, Daniel Allen Rose, Christopher Rose, and Nathan Allen; great niece, Haley Allen; aunt, Delphina Jean McDonald; and cousins, Patricia Gustin and Gina Vroom.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, MO, with graveside services following at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. \u00a0Donations to Wayside Waifs<\/a>.<\/p>\n So sorry for your loss, she will be missed. I met Terry in the 8th grade in Kansas City, Missouri. Terry has been my BFF, my “person”, my mentor, my thrift store shopping buddy, the one I called first with happy or sad news. She was so organized with her thoughts and deeds that she could juggle all her family and friends needs and problems. She never said “no” to anyone who asked or didn’t ask for her help. She volunteered many times to help me do things like moving all the furniture off my deck and then power washing the deck. She could do all that without sweating, getting dirty, or messing up her hair and makeup. We shared much love, many tears and 63 years of memories. If you read Galatians 5, (living by the spirit) and Galatians 6 (doing good to all) you will know who Terry is. I have LOVED her with all my heart all my life, I can’t remember ever having a disagreement or a harsh word with Terry. It is with a very heavy heart that I say goodbye for now, but I know I’ll see you again, probably sooner than later. May You Rest In Eternal Peace Terry.
