{"id":10168,"date":"2021-12-17T16:18:03","date_gmt":"2021-12-17T16:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=10168"},"modified":"2024-07-26T03:21:05","modified_gmt":"2024-07-26T03:21:05","slug":"glenda-sue-estes-prewitt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2021\/12\/17\/glenda-sue-estes-prewitt\/","title":{"rendered":"Glenda Sue Estes Prewitt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10170\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/glenda-prewitt.jpg\" alt=\"Glenda Sue Estes Prewitt\" width=\"320\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/glenda-prewitt.jpg 320w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/glenda-prewitt-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/>Glenda Sue Estes Prewitt went to be with the Lord and join her beloved husband, Harold Dean Prewitt, on December 17, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Glenda was born on January 12, 1941, to Jacob Glen Estes and Maggie Louise West Estes in Ray County, Missouri, near Millville, where she graduated eighth grade from a one room school.\u00a0 She graduated from Richmond High School, Richmond, Missouri, with the class of 1959, and attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, from 1959 to 1961, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.\u00a0 In 1972 she received a B.S. degree in Business Education from University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg.\u00a0 She retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 2001 after 29 years.<\/p>\n<p>She was a member of the Barbee Memorial Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs, a member of the Osage Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists, CJ Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Ray and Clay County Genealogy Societies.\u00a0 She enjoyed genealogy, travel, book club, bridge club, piano, volunteering, family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Glenda was married to Harold Dean Prewitt of Braymer, Missouri, on October 18, 1963, in Liberty.\u00a0 He preceded her in death on July 17, 2000, after enjoying thirty-six wonderful years of marriage.\u00a0 She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Estes.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by one brother, Dennis Wayne Estes and wife, Patty, of rural Richmond, a sister-in-law, Betty Dowell (Bruce) of Kansas City North, as well as nieces and nephews and those of Dean\u2019s whom she was most fond.<\/p>\n<p>Private services will be held at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO, with a Celebration of Life at a later date.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Barbee Memorial Church or Shirkey Hospice.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My father was pastor of your church 61 to 73. A wonderful couple devoted to each other. I spent several weekends with Glenda at her house. She was always fun and ready to go somewhere. Due to COVID restrictions, I was not able to visit her. Glenda is out of pain and is with the love her life.
