She married Gary Loftin on May 3, 1951 in Harrison, Ark. \u00a0She was a stay at home mom and in her later years worked at Price Chopper in the bakery and Worlds of Fun. Dorris was a member of St. Luke\u2019s Episcopal Church.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Edward Almond King, Jr., Houston Gerald King, Emily Jean Meider, Margaret Irene Barber; and a daughter, Laura Elaine Loftin.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her children, Gary Bert and wife, Annette Loftin, James Edward and wife, Jolene Loftin, Houston Wayne and wife, Chastidy Loftin; grandchildren, Ashley (Eric Pearson) Loftin, Julie (Andrew) Holder, Jennifer Loftin, Hunter Loftin, Dayne Loftin, Kyla Kelleher, Stuart (Lisa) Loftin, Margarette (Danny) Mullikin; and great grandchildren, Tyler Kromeich, Lauralei Loftin-Howard, Matthew Pearson, Paxton Mullikin, Madison Mullikin and Aubrey Loftin.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo.\u00a0 Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St. Luke\u2019s Episcopal Church, Excelsior Springs, Mo.\u00a0 Burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the church.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Very sorry for your loss.<br \/>\nTom Gray<\/p>\n<p>I thought a lot of your mom and your family.
