Mary was a beautiful, sweet and sassy soul that made friends everywhere she went. She loved old westerns, country music, card games, and hummingbirds. Mary loved staying up all night listening to country music and playing cards with her boyfriend, Bill. She loved gardening, going on road trips, and made the best \u201cGrandma\u2019s\u201d Spaghetti. Her favorite song was Charlie Pride, \u201cKiss an Angel Good Morning\u201d, it always made her smile, and she would dance and sing along with it. You could always find Mary with a cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie in her hand making everyone laugh by telling jokes and giving them a hard time.<\/p>\n<p>Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Napolean and Mildred Merrell; her late husband, Kenneth Eldridge; son Nickie Eldridge; a daughter, Kathy Eldridge; a grandson, Michael Eldridge Jr.; and her dog, Jake.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her significant other, Bill Marrant; two daughters, Janice Lewis and Courtney Fizer (John); three sons and their wives, Greg Bartholomew (Peggy), Mike Eldridge (Sheena), and Kenny Eldridge (Tammy); daughter-in-law and best friend, Ulva Eldridge. Grandchildren and spouses include Tiffany Wilson (Clyde), Meagan Schwab, Logan Bartholomew (Jenna), Landon Bartholomew (Samantha), Jeremy Eldridge, Charlie Eldridge, Samantha Eldridge, Nick Eldridge (Brentney), Lauren Eldridge, and Zach Eldridge. Great grandkids include Brooklynn Schwab, Gracie Bishop, Paisley Eldridge, Haylee Eldridge, Auttumn Eldridge, Timothy Eldridge, Adrian Bartholomew, Clyde Jr Griffin and Waylon Griffin.<\/p>\n<p>We will miss her more than words can express.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Bross Spidle Funeral Home, 217 N. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024, Thursday, April 21, 2022. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m., with the funeral following from 4 to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial contributions in memory of Mary will be donated to the Alzheimer\u2019s Association.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>I will always treasure getting to meet Mary. She loved her family very much and was always a ray of sunshine wherever she went! She had a zany sense of humor and was always fun to be around. Getting to know you had filled a hole in my heart, helping me to understand myself better. I have tremendous respect and love for you for the way you chose to live your life despite all the heartache you have had to endure. My new favorite number is 17,844 because 17 is the day and 844 because that\u2019s the time thank you again love you grandma. I know things can hard for me sometimes but I know in my heart that you are in a better place and that you will Be happy where you are and you enjoy every minute of your life and all I do is probably based on you the best I think about you the most every day since you passed. You\u2019ve been the great grandma I could ever meet thank you for being kind and caring and loving.
