He spent the next 9 years working as a custodian for the Excelsior Springs School District before retirement.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Phares and Veda (Shanks) Kephart, and wife of 45 years, Donna.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his children, Rusty (Debbie) Kephart, Tony Kephart, and Angela (Brian) Birkeness; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 11 to 12:30 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson, Kearney, MO. Graveside to follow at Mt.
