{"id":11264,"date":"2022-05-20T18:36:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T18:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=11264"},"modified":"2024-07-24T01:13:29","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T01:13:29","slug":"richard-lee-patterson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/20\/richard-lee-patterson\/","title":{"rendered":"Richard Lee Patterson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-11269\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/richard-patterson.jpg\" alt=\"Richard Lee Patterson\" width=\"280\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/richard-patterson.jpg 280w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/richard-patterson-203x300.jpg 203w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/>Richard Lee Patterson, 77, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at the North Kansas City Hospice Living Center in Kansas City, Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Richard was born in Maryville, Missouri, to Robert Ace Patterson and Thelma Edith (Garrett) Patterson on July 7, 1944.<\/p>\n<p>Richard graduated from Maryville High School in Maryville, Missouri in 1962 and married Virginia Bogart on June 14, 1980.<\/p>\n<p>He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1971 and worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. until his retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma Patterson; wife, Virginia; one sister, Charlene Hall; and stepdaughter, Janelle Mitchell.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his stepchildren, Susan and Forest Langlots, Steve and Julie Randolph, Jeff Randolph, and Cary Mitchell; niece, Gloria and Jerry Sloan; nephew, Robert and Karen Hall; eight step-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren; cousins, longtime friends and his special cat, Darby.<\/p>\n<p>A Celebration of Life will be held June 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at North Cross United Methodist Church with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kearney, Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials can be made in Richard\u2019s honor to North Cross United Methodist Church, 1321 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements are in care of Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Richard was one of my very best friends in high school&#8230; we hung around together a lot.
