Myron was born on September 23, 1942 to Elmo and Eunice (Ulmer) Hartman. Through his high school days, he worked for Jack Brown Floral. After graduating from Excelsior Springs High School in 1960, he began his 40-year career with the Missouri State Highway Department. When Myron wasn\u2019t working for MODOT he could be found out on the farm. He loved the outdoors and traveling. He and Sandra loved to spend their retirement in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Myron loved working with his hands, from antique clocks to his 1950 Allis Chalmers. The garage was his oasis from three teenage girls. He enjoyed reading but mostly sitting and observing the antics of his grandchildren. Myron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who was loved dearly.<\/p>\n
Myron was proceeded in death by his parents, and one brother, Carl Hartman, and one nephew.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra (O\u2019dell) Hartman; three daughters, Myra (Mark) Hill, Missy (Kevin) Murphy and Shelly (Scott) Neibergall; and six grandchildren, Michaela (Tim) Dalinghaus, Alec (Rachel) Hill, Connor (Paige) Hill, Carson Hill, Ashleigh (Mandy) Murphy, and Austin Murphy; two great-grandchildren, Reese and Grady Dalinghaus; one sister, Carol (John) Hartnett; and two brothers, Larry Hartman and Jewel (Susy) Hartman.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs with funeral services at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, also at the funeral home with burial following at New Garden North cemetery.<\/p>\n

I am so sorry to hear that Myron had passed away. I worked with him at modot\u2026. One of the nicest people I have ever met. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

My prayers go out to Myron’s entire family. I worked with Myron at MoDOT and he was truly a gem to work with. He was always willing to have me come up to his area and show the work the crews were doing and teach me a few things along the way. May he rest in peace.
