Bonnie J. Hamilton Varnell, 88, passed away August 7, 2022, at Centerpoint Medical Center with family members by her side.<\/p>\nBonnie J. Hamilton Varnell, 88, passed away August 7, 2022, at Centerpoint Medical Center with family members by her side.<\/p>\n
Bonnie was born on July 20, 1934, in Miami Station, Missouri. She married her soulmate, Herbert Varnell on July 16, 1950.<\/p>\n
She had a great love for children. She taught Sunday school at Salisbury Hills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Norborne. She also worked with children in the Mission Friends program. Bonnie also went to school and studied sign language so she could teach the word of God to the hearing impaired.
\nShe started her own daycare and preschool at the age of 50 and she was able to care for 70 children. She enjoyed catching fish and having fish frys with her family and friends. She also loved to travel and go camping. Most of all, she loved her grandkids.<\/p>\n
Bonnie is survived by son, Gary H. Varnell and wife Cathy; daughters, Terry Varnell Baker and husband Larry, Sherry Varnell Preston and husband Darrell, and Diana Varnell Zagorski and husband Rick; as well as three sisters, one brother, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
\nA visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Norborne (300 S. Pine Street Norborne, MO 64668) with a service to follow. She will be buried at Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.<\/p>\n

Words cannot express my heart felt sympathy for you for your loss of your mom. There is something about losing a mother that is permanent and inexpressible that never quite heals. But the memory of her love, her hugs, her guiding hand will always be with you. My prayers are for comforting thoughts to bring peace to your heart.
